Nice job

You did a good job with the instruments (really good for using 3 x osc), the build up worked well. Only things I think you could improve on are the melodies repetitive nature and "genericness". Other than that, nice work!

OMG PRESET WHORE .... (j.k)

Lol Rig, you original sunnovabitch. Its been a while since I heard the fl "preset" vocals used in a good piece of music. Nice job with the dance music too - your really getting good at it (almost scary... I thought I was the winnipeg newgrounds trance guy.. lol) Anyway, keep up the good music, hope to hear more soon.

Rig responds:

I HAVE TAKENS UR SPOT LUL

Seriously, let's get a beer this weekend. I'm free on Saturday and Sunday and Friday night I suppose - I've just been working for a while.

I love the bass and main arp.. seriously.

I love mah heavy trance. I was glad to listen and review this track - its just so awesome. The track is well mastered and you built/relieved tension expertly. I hope to hear more!

Thanks :D

Very good

Pretty good remix of "Kingz of the music" by Tune. Keep it up :D

PrEmoEffect responds:

Kings of the music by tune?, thought it was by eastclubbers, but thanks for the review.

Nice song

This is a very decent piece - loops perfectly. Good job with the progression.

Keep it up :D

BinaryGuy responds:

Thanks! keep up your reviews too!

Nice, but could use polishing.

Hmm, I read your thread complaining about your score... I can't say it deserves a low score - but its not perfect either (what is anyway..) This first thing that pops out at me is that the track is clipping, your master volume is too high (it also needs to be mastered a bit diffrently to sound good IMHO). Other than that it is fine.

Try not to base your perception of how other people view your work on your score, but on reviews/review scores. Zero blamming is a problem in the audio portal, just like the flash portal.

rdegroot responds:

Hey, cool that you responded man!
I sure know that it's not perfect, I haven't noticed any clipping though. But my soundcard is a bit messed up so I might not hear the song the way I am supposed to. You said the mastering could be done differently. I've been experimenting with mastering lately, do you have any advice for me? I take it that you also use Fruity Loops for your songs.

Thanks for your honest and good response mate :)

If your friends don't dance...

The tune itself is great, but its a bit too "fat" as another person has said. The power is all in the bass, which is good for somethings, but you are lacking the midbands and highband sparkle that is really needed for dance music. No doubt that it kick, but It just needs a bit of eq'ing/compression on the lowbands.

Really, really nice.

I freakin love the backround arp - the nice disortion on the lead and the soft reverbed piano in the back. It feels very calm - even though its somewhat hard. I must learn your tricks!

Rig responds:

Lol, thanks. The arp was generated by 3xOsc and run through some distortion and a delay. Piano and feedback were made with Nexus. :D

Ehh.

Might make a good ringtone - but thats about it.

Very relaxing

Definitly an original song. Nice flow and progression. It never gets repetitive (unlike a lot of stuff posted in the trance genre). I read your post in the audio forum, and would like to offer a suggestion - when submitting a track, picking the right genre is important, if you want the right people to listen to you music. I would consider this more of a IDM, or Ambient piece, than a trance piece. Trance music has 4/4 percussion, usualy with some form of kick (which this piece lacks). This is an awesome track, just in the wrong place.

Keep up the good work - Shenkhar

silkng responds:

Thanks Shenkhar!

I've updated the genre so appreciate the tips. Identifying a genre was never my strong point. Most of my stuff isn't "pure" trance but I label it as such anyway.

I make Trance, Eurodance and Ambient music. I'm new, but learning fast.
